N 531 About the military form of clothes, signs on distinction of
military men and departmental distinctions
According to clause(article) 39 of the Federal law from March, 28, 1998
N 53-ФЗ " About a conscription and military service " decree:
1. To ratify:
The military form of clothes of military men of Armed forces of the
Russian Federation, other armies, military formations and bodies
according to appendix N 1;
Signs on distinction on military ranks of military men of Armed forces
of the Russian Federation, other armies, military formations and bodies
according to appendix N 2.
2. To the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation, and also as
agreed with it(him) to other federal enforcement authorities in which
the federal law stipulates military service to ratify the description of
subjects of the military form of clothes.
3. To establish, that:
The order of manufacturing of subjects of the military form of clothes
is defined(determined) by the Ministry of Defence of the Russian
Federation, the order of manufacturing of signs on distinction of
military men and departmental distinctions, and also rules of carrying
of the military form of clothes, signs on distinction of military men,
departmental distinctions and other military - heraldic signs are
defined(determined) by corresponding federal enforcement authority in
which the federal law stipulates military service;
The form of clothes and signs on distinction of the persons who are not
being military men, cannot be similar to the military form of clothes
and signs on distinction of military men, and also similar to them up to
a degree of mixture.
4. To the government of the Russian Federation in 6-month's term to
ratify when due hereunder the form of clothes of employees of
law-enforcement bodies of the Russian Federation, the State
fire-prevention service of the Ministry of the Russian Federation on
affairs of a civil defence, extreme situations and liquidations of
consequences of acts of nature, establishments and bodies of criminal -
executive system.
5. To resolve to employees of law-enforcement bodies of the Russian
Federation, the State fire-prevention service of the Ministry of the
Russian Federation on affairs of a civil defence, extreme situations and
liquidation of consequences of acts of nature, establishments and bodies
of the criminal - executive system, carrying the military form of
clothes, its(her) carrying before transition to the new form of clothes
in the order determined by the Government of the Russian Federation.
6. To the government of the Russian Federation, federal enforcement
authorities in which the federal law stipulates military service, in
6-month's term to bring the normative legal certificates(acts) into
accord with the present Decree.
7. To recognize become invalid certificates(acts) of the President of
the Russian Federation under the list according to appendix N 3.
8. The present(true) Decree inures from the date of his(its) signing.

The military form of clothes of military men of Armed forces of the
Russian Federation, other armies, military formations and bodies
1. General provisions
The military form of clothes is the complete set of subjects of military
clothes unified to essential external attributes and military footwear
(regimentals), and also the military equipment, intended for carrying by
military men.
To essential external attributes of the military form of clothes
concern:
Design and color of regimentals and military equipment;
Decorative - distinctive elements of the established colors edgings,
stripe, cap-band peak-cap, gleams on rifle-sling, buttonholes;
Accessories of the established samples;
rifle-sling (погончики).
Rifle-sling (погончики) - the special elements of military clothes
intended for accommodation of signs of distinction on military ranks and
signs of distinction on functional applicability.
Military men carry rectangular, with a button in the top part погоны two
kinds:
With trapezoid top edges(territories), with fields from a lace of a
special interlacing of golden color or color of a fabric of military
clothes, without edgings or with edgings of the established colors.
Rifle-sling gleams of the established colors have the senior and younger
officers: for the senior officers - two gleams, for younger officers -
one gleam. Rifle-sling (except for cadets of naval educational
establishments of vocational training of Navy fleet) longitudinal strips
of golden color and a field of the established colors have cadets of
military educational establishments of vocational training;
With triangular top edge(territory), from a fabric of military clothes.
Cadets of naval educational establishments of vocational training of
Navy fleet, the foreman, sergeants and sailors of Navy fleet, sea parts
of boundary bodies, sea parts of internal armies of the Ministry of
Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation carry rifle-sling
rectangular, from a fabric of military clothes, without edgings or with
edgings of the established colors.
On military clothes the state awards, signs on distinction, departmental
distinctions and other military - heraldic signs founded when due
hereunder rush.
Essential attributes of signs on distinction and departmental
distinctions are: a combination of a coloring and a configuration,
presence of official emblems and the heraldic elements authorized when
due hereunder by the head of corresponding federal enforcement authority
in which the federal law stipulates military service.

up for military service according to the decree of the President of the

Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, military men of
